No net
So if you are wondering why i haven't been posting anything, you should be informed that I am without internet access at home. (Southwestern Bell) SBC was on some strike or something of that nature which kept us from being able to hook up service in our new place. Yes we moved. Among other things, my car was stolen back in August so i'm driving a hoopty until tomorrrow or sometime in the near-future. At which point i may be pushing a benz, and getting stopped by cops (young black man, nice car -- deduce what they are thinking). Either that, or constantly be mistaken for some up-and-coming rapper. Which will annoy me. I'm an up-and-coming singer, d*mnit!! LoL. Anyway, yeah, the new place is tight too, though identical to the place i grew up in except for a few simple luxuries, like an some-what-working intercom, "wood" floor and lights and fans in superfluous areas. Yep. So by mid-june everything will be up an normal.
Peaces.

I missed southern folk.
The realization started when I was in the line to the metal detectors. There were these two Black men who were having some conversation which must have been hilarious, because every other minute there were laughing. Not annoyingly though, more so in the effect that you started laughing too, even though you had no idea what there were laughing about; rather you just liked their laughing. When it came time to line up and give our boarding passes, it went so logically smooth as people allowed others in. The most memorable thing was this gentleman who sat on the plane next to me on the way from Atlanta to Houston. He was a white male, mid-to-late 30s, military cut with matching apathy--one would assume by the silence. Until it came time to eat--yes, the little drink and pretzels/cookie. The man noticed how i feverishly devoured my allotment, and without hesitation offered me his own. It was unexpectedly nice. And the sun's nearly scorching presence through the airplane window only widened my internal smile. It's good to be home.
Peace.

DONE, big baby!!!
As of May 21st, 2PM.
Yeah, I finally finished the midterm, the final, and all but two assignments of the backwork for the last class i was working on. Honestly, after I finished that final, i was rea' to quit; i typed up one more thing i had already read, then i was done. BUT... BUT.... How about this?! Ya boy pulled a 'B' in this class that i thought i failed. The Lord is good!! I know that wasn't me. Honestly, i'm surprised the teacher even kept accepting my work, since it was actually all due May 3rd, 2004. In fact, I turned in everyone's stuff late, except for my favorite class. They all took it too; thank the Lord. How is that for favor with ones professors?!
Pimp.

McDonald's...
Alright it was Friday and we were at McDonald's. Now we were in San Francisco. So my girl and I were just finishing our meal, but some friends at a different table were just starting their food. Low-and-behold what seemed like a homeless man came in. Now he says "Excuse me, brothers and sisters, but do you have any leftover food that i can have?" He was Black man, so if i had any food left over i would have given it to him, but being the hungry young man i am--raised not to waste food-- I had consumed all of my food. Now, they all look at each other and eventually realized that noone was ready to part with their beloved food. Seeing this the man says, "Oh, alright. I was just trying not to let any food go to waste. Thank you though," and leaves. Before they could react beyond looking at each other, the man returns and says, "You know... I actually got money, I was just trying not to let no food go to waste. Y'know, if y'all was Asian, you would have given me some food. I came in here to see how y'all Black folks was, and I see now. Y'all aint shit!!" He then proceeded to storm out.

Yep.

P.S.> Then as a joke I walked over to all them at the table, went "YEAH!!!" and stormed off too.

Rich people...
...do very odd things with their money. Which is interesting, cus money is just a tool through which one excercises freedom. Therefore these weird things are what rich folk really want to do. (Blatantly apparent by how much these crazy things often cost.) So yeah go here...

Um....
The New York Times -- Disney Forbidding Distribution of Film That Criticizes Bush
...things like that really annoy me. See if you can find my favorite part of the article that basically fills in the degrees of seperation between Michael Moore and George W. Bush. My thing is... we criticize Bush all the time, from speech to politics, one more thing wouldn't hurt. I've never been to DisneyWorld (nor DisneyLand) anyway, so you know I don't care.

"I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to 'order' than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice..." ~ Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
